2 new dementia day-care centres being built in NSW

Two dementia day-care centres, worth a total of more than $3.1 million will be built in Port Macquarie on the NSW mid-North Coast and in the Sydney suburb of Kogarah.

The Port Macquarie-Hastings Shire Council will receive more than $1.6 million to build a purpose-designed dementia day care centre.

At Kogarah, Calvary Health Care Sydney will receive $1.5 million to build a purpose-built facility within the grounds of the Hospital that will replace the current facility which operates in a converted cottage away from the grounds. The project will also incorporate new office space and areas for HACC funded allied health, support and education services. … > full media release
