New study dismisses claims of computer based brain training games

Nintendo brain training ‘no better than pen and paper’

A study conducted by Alain Lieru, professor of cognitive psychology at the University of Rennes, Brittany on a group of 67, 10 year olds found that electronic based brain training games did not provide any better results than manual mental stimulation from activities such as Sudoku and Scrabble.
