Final Report of the National Health and Hospitals Reform Commission

The final report of the National Health and Hospital Reform Commission (NHHRC) has been released. Recommendation 88.6 is that the Commonwealth Government would assume full responsibility for public funding of aged care. This would include the Home and Community Care Program for older people and aged care assessment.

It contains 123 other specific recommendations, covering many aspects of hospital and health care issues. Of particular interest to readers will be the sections on aged care, and end of life issues. … > full story : ABC News
