The Emmy Monash Life Enrichment Project which incorporates a choir has provided residents with a way to communicate and enjoy life. The project brings together residents of the facilities' care units, apartments, families, carers, and children from two local schools. The choir is aimed at breaking down barriers between generations, and between high-care residents - including stroke sufferers - and low-care residents. It tackles songs in Yiddish, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish and English while providing cognitive stimulation for non-speakers of each language. > read story
